NATIONAL PECAN DAY WAS JAMMIN OVA HERE

Yesterday was the anniversary of when George Washington first planted Pecan trees at Mount Vernon. Thomas Jefferson introduced him to pecans in the late 1700’s. So we did we do around jam? We celebrated! Celebrated by making pecan cocoon cookies from the Kresse Kitchen Family Recipe Book!

Butter
Flour
Vanilla
Powdered Sugar
Water
&
PECANS

A little ole-fashioned-jammin stirring too!

Little crescent cocoons for YOU!

After we pulled em out of the oven - then cooled - they were all individually dunked in more powdered sugar!
Oh-so-good! A little coffee tasted perfect with em too!

Thank you Kirstin for a JAMMIN recipe & Pecan Day celebration!
